Tuesday's dose of Mark Brooks

You watched too much Shield and Brooks. It's David, David, David.

I'll still see Brooks struggling to find a voice that he considers appropriate for his writing style, his sense of self, his political convictions and his new position as an op ed columnist for the Times. This one is not quite there yet.

As an attempt to place the Bush administration's Iraq efforts on the side of the Iraqis and the UN as an abstract overlord, it just doesn't work. Particularly, just as Chalabi senses an opening, ungrateful wretch (g), and is asking the UN to intercede on his behalf against his supporters in the Bush admin. Looks as if even the Bushies have to face irony.
