Thanks for the note. I usually do that with AOL, but they have not once responded. They say they are doing a lot to fight this type of thing, but my sense, is that they are doing just enough. They could at least answer my email with a computer generated response saying it is being investigated.

The problem is that this stuff may be so pervasive that each of us has to be incredibly paranoid about where we go.

I no longer open attachments, as I did two years ago, unless they are items I am expecting. When a "friend" sends me an attachment, I usually call or email back asking what it is and whether it has been scanned by a virus checker.

I'm frightened by reports, perhaps apocryphal, that one can get a virus by just visiting a cite or just opening an email. I have NAV and ZAPro on alert.

All this makes me wonder more and more when the original promise of my massive expenditures of time and money on computers will ever be fulfilled, that is, that I will make more money, and have more time to enjoy it. <gggg>
