Matthew 16:
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Matthew says it further. When Christ returns he shall be accompanied by legions of his angels! There were no angels on the Mount of Transfiguration. Also, it is silly, no matter what you say, for Christ to say "some of you shall still be alive when I return," Of course - ALL OF THEM WERE ALIVE! Do you expect anyone to buy your reasoning?
Matthew 23;
Look at his anger toward the Jews.
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Matthew 24:
Who do you think he was talking about? The present generation that he was speaking to, of course- definitely not to us over 2000 years in the future!
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
McRitchie, you are a blind guide and you shall remain in ignorance forever.
