Yeah I know, but what's the point in arguing over whether the points he makes are valid.

If Bush walked around every day kissing Ted Kennedy's butt the left would still find a reason to hate him. As far as I'm concerned, he's already bent way over backwards to the Ted Kennedy's of the world and they still attack him on practically a daily basis. This article only points out what I've long seen on SI for quite some time.

Bush should have stuck to his guns and pushed for vouchers in the Education Bill for troubled schools. Now, even the Washington Post is warming up to the idea.

He should not have federalized airport screeners. That's one we'll be paying for for years. If the Trident Submarine Base in Bangor Washington can be guarded and protected by civilian contractors, so can the airports. Quality doesn't equal working for the federal government, it means being on target with minimal variance meeting or exceeding customer expectations. The problem with airport screeners is no one had the guts to shut down an airport when the security was performing poorly. People do what you reward them for doing.

I also disagreed with Bush about his early anti-gun policy for pilots. It was another cave to the leftists. Yet, they still hate him. What else is new. They hate Newt Gingrich, they hate Ronald Reagan, and they hate President Bush.

The party of hate...

At least the author had the guts to admit it.
