there is a consortium of major banks working on this kind of cooperative electronic processing effort -- i forget the group's name. ckfr's view of that group was that many of the banks were existing ckfr clients already (which is sort of amusing) and that the pace of development from a cooperative group of banks has pproven to be a tad slower that a glacier's movement. in othre words, ckfr has huge and aggressive sales staffs out there, a proven product, 75% market share, plus add-on electronic automation products in addition to bill pay. I'm hanging on to this stock -- minimally it will rise at least into the 20s; long term my sense is that ckfr is a dandy prospect for acquisition by a msft, t, visa etc. (visa is a competitor -- but is magnitudes smaller than ckfr in this area). at this point the barrier to entry of a new firm into this biz is getting to be significant....
