Chalabi is playing both ends against the middle, and trying to gain more interim power so that he can build a base of support for later on.

Chalabi reminds me a lot of "Bebe", the Israeli minister. His English is so good that he impresses the hell out of us. I never did buy that Jordanian criminal charge, it was trumped up, IMO. There are going to be a lot of shifts and changes, plus a lot more assassinations, before Iraq settles down.
