Peter Stothard's Thirty Days: Tony Blair and the Test of History.

Just finished reading this. It won't meet the criteria some member of the publishing staff put on the title but it's a good insider read of the last days before the Iraq invasion and the first couple of weeks. As seen from within Blair's administration.

It's most comparable to the Woodward stuff--more concerned about story line than good analysis; more concerned with sort of cute observations than serious discussion. But he tells a good story and, unlike Woodward, thank heavens, there is none of the pretension of getting inside people's heads. He's just someone in the room offering his observations.

If you think Tony Blair is someone special, you might like this.
