that is the trade surplus with the US, but China has trade deficit with Japan, SK, Taiwan...., so if not now, it will be soon, that China will run a total trade deficit. BTW, I think a lot of people have not noticed that one of major reasons for China has some surplus is because it has a very strict policy for ordinary Chinese to hold some foreign currency. And when China relax that policy, its surplus will be running out before you know it<g>
