"What was the goal of the US?" To bring stability to the region and depose a sh*t disturbing dictator. The U.S. presence has helped temper Iran's treatment of its antitheocratic student body and will bring further stability when the Saudi regime is deposed by internal forces. A flourishing and democratic Iraq will make the world and the middle east a better place.
