None of the Democratic candidates have captured the voter's imagination yet. Normally that would not be important, except that next year's primaries are front loaded. Only four months to go before the first one. That favors the party activists. I think that Dean still has the advantage. His people appear to be the most motivated in this race. Having everyone focused on Clark at this point may take some of the pressure off of Dean and allow him to operate under everyone's radar.
