Two realities:

There are real environmental threats and real environmental issues, many of which desperately need to be considered.

Many of the people who claim to be concerned with these issues are actually using them as a device to promote a primitivist anti-human agenda that borders on flat out lunacy, and frequently strays across the border.

There's a bit of sorting out that needs to be done, and, as with many issues, the people that are really concerned with environmental issues need to firmly reject the radical leaders and the positions they represent.
