The other side of that story is that an absolutely horrendous number of kids are being killed by speeding hit and run drivers there, and there's a lot of pressure to do something - anything - about it. I hadn't heard about that. I do know that the Brits will tolerate much more Government control than we will. True in all other countries, I believe. I will never forget traveling in Vancouver and being informed that all the cameras I saw hanging on poles were there to take photos of drivers speeding so the Gov could mail them tickets.
