Brian, this poster agrees with you >FWIW, all short sales take place in a margin account. Technically, since you are borrowing the shares, its a margin loan, even if your equity exceeds the proceeds. Larger guys and hedge funds like me negotiate rebates that allow us to reinvest the proceeds in a yielding instrument to offset the vig of the margin.<
