The entire situation in the Mid-east is extremely complicated. We saw the results on Sept 11 of what happens when we choose to close our eyes and pretend diplomacy will keep the U.S. safe in the modern world. As we all saw the resulting horror, how can anyone endorse a continuation of Pres Clinton's appeasement strategy? We had the choice to either take the fight directly to them or sit at home waiting anxiously for the next shoe to drop. The GWB administration made the correct choice....even the flaky French are starting to act reasonably, surely all Americans can do the same. The Saudis will eventually either voluntarily or by force move out of the middle ages as their population observes the benefits of the more democratic government next door.
