Clark is an arrogant Perfumed Prince of the Pentagon who'll regret ever placing his spit-shined boots in the muddy pit of civilian politics.

Unlike federal judges, whom JohnM thinks are used to playing God, Army Generals truly think their word is heavenly. They are used to having everyone snap-to at their behest. Unless, they are consummate politicians like Ike or Powell, they fare poorly in the messy arena of civilian politics.
