Actually stud, Rev. 2.9 reads like this, a quote of Christ-

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, but thou art rich and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Note He says the ones who call themselves Jews but are not? Those are the worshippers of Satan.

Rev. 2 & 3 are Christ talking to the Angels of His churches.
