Sir Hitlery Calls For Inquiry Into Iraq

In the latest gastroenterologist's dream (i.e., the unmitigated gall), Sir Hitlery has called for an inquiry to review intelligence (which is a hot one, frankly) over the "credibility" of findings of evidence of WMD's in Iraq.

Hillary's own credibility aside, let us not forget that Hillary's "husband" announced during his administration that the WMD's indeed existed. Does Hillary doubt Bill's credibility as well? Surely not...did "her" latest book not just emphatically state what an honorable man he is?

She supported the Iraq war resolution last fall based on intelligence shared by the Bush administration showing that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction - information she now says may have been "wrong or skewed for whatever purpose."

In an interview with Trevor McDonald, the junior senator stated, "I voted for the Iraqi resolution, and I did it in large measure based on the intelligence that I was privy to."

Does anyone doubt that she would have been privy to even more intelligence than other Senators through her marriage to Bill? And if so, doesn't that underscore that she believed it as well? Why, then, is she on this witch hunt?

She recalled that after Saddam threw U.N. weapons inspectors out of Iraq in 1998, "President Clinton, with the British and others, ordered an intensive four-day air assault, Operation Desert Fox, on known and suspected weapons of mass destruction sites and other military targets."

Citing intelligence that predated the Bush administration, she explained, "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program."

"It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons," the top Democrat declared.

A month after the vote, Sen. Clinton was still insisting that Iraq had stockpiles of WMDs, and even warned that Saddam might soon go nuclear.

But then, grasping at straws has always been her style. Unfortunately for Sir Hitlery, the old adage about "fooling some of the people some of the time" has come back to bite her in the gluteus maximus.

Perhaps the WMD's are safely tucked away in the same place as those papers from the Rose Law Firm?

As per usual, the guilty will accuse; we can only be thankful there are no aspirin factories on Hillary's list of things to do today.
