I asked Jyra to put their press releases on their web site and they did. There is extremely good news.

Jyra and its Service Management Architecture (SMA) wins acceptance Jyra announces its SMA is receiving strong endorsements in many market sectors. As Version 2 nears completion, global rollouts are expected upon its release. In addition the Company is evaluating its various equity listing options, having received clearance from the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) of its Registration Statement (S1). Jyra has shipped initial product (Version 1) to customers who are running trials with very positive feedback to the Company. These customers include a major US national carrier, the world's largest networked applications provider as well as penetrating significant vertical markets such as the Pharmaceutical, Financial and European Telecommunication sectors.
In an article produced by the Meta Group it stated that Jyra SMA is one of the "must have" products for large corporations. The Meta Group, Inc. provides research, analysis, and advisory services to the IT Industry.
Jyra SMA Version 2, which is scheduled for release during the current quarter, incorporates many of the requirements of the Company's customers, who will be able to instigate global rollout of Jyra's monitoring agents, in software, immediately on release of SMA Version 2. The Jyra Mid Level Manager (MLM), Version 1 of Jyra SMA, was introduced to the market in May 1997 and orders of this initial product exceeded US$ 200,000 by the close of the second quarter 1997.
In addition, the Company's Registration Statement (S1) filed earlier this year with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) was declared effective on July 30, 1997. This Registration Statement registers for resale approximately 1 million shares sold by the Company last November. The Company is now a reporting issuer in the United States and will be filling its 10Q (Quarterly Report) in due course. The Company is currently considering its various options regarding applying for and obtaining an official listing for its equity. These options include, but are not limited to, a US listing (NASDAQ or AMEX) and/or a European Listing. The Company is currently taking advice from a number of professional advisers regarding this and other corporate issues.
The Jyra SMA represents a radical departure from traditional network management solutions and is the key to managing application performance across large heterogeneous networks and the Internet. Jyra's SMA measures quality of service delivered to desktop or laptop PCs connected to large corporate networks or the Internet. As such it has the potential to enable mass market electronic commerce and allow large corporations to provide Business Service Management to improve business utilization.
NB: the world's largest networked applications provider is (as far as I know) Microsoft!!!. So possibly Microsoft will deliver Jyra software to service providers together with their Network application.
It seems to me that their is a good chance that the Jyra buy would be a better move of me than i ever expected before. |
