Wrong again. I believe that Lebanon is still a secular country. Syria is at least as secular as Iraq.

It is probably a mistake to call Iraq secular anyway, as most important positions in the government were held by direct relatives and kinsmen (of Saddam) from Tikrit.

All things considered, Egypt and Jordan is probably more secular than Iraq ever was. That being said, the former Soviet Union was secular, so just being secular doesn't mean all that much.
