btw, the attempts to minimize the reports were less credible than the reports themselves. Including the comment you just made at how you all knew of one event.

The reports stated that 70% of therapists had been told by one of their clients that the client had had previously had sexual contact with a therapist. The article also stated that only 4 to 8 percent of victims ever report such incidents. The article also defined the harm in several specific ways as devastating, and increasing at an alarming rate.

This is not a rumor that went around among the therapists. It is also not, a specific statistic that defines the total number of incidents, the frequency etc. It does suggest that the problem is pervasive enough that it should be a concern for anyone in the profession. I am fairly convinced Charleymane, you, etc. are not at any risk by going to a female therapist. So what?
