you've got to admit Bush really screwed things up with the budget. This guy is a fiscal nightmare. And I believe in the back of his mind he went into iraq because he and his cohorts were hoping they could damage OPEC a little. What they ended up doing was strengthening opec. We have structural issues related to employment here, and Bush's egregious spending has left us in vice. The man is an idiot. Put it this way, democrats know they can openly discuss RAISING TAXES (in the form of repealing the Bush tax cuts) on a national debate and not lose an election due to it. This is only because the masses know the budget is so bad something has to be done. Krugman is right, who could have even imagined this mess in 2000. I already know you will blame this on 911.
