Actually they have a lot to do with each other. Even though Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 as far as we can tell.

Also you seem to be confusing the issues. My statement had little to do with the specifics of attacking Iraq. It was a general statement that could apply in Iraq and also in many other situations including our response to 9/11. I could have used 9/11, or the IRA or Vietnam or the conquests of the Mongols as an example of my point. If I had used the conquests of the Mongols to make my point and also applied the point to 9/11 it would not be saying that Genghis Khan was being 9/11.
