Nearly every public speech Bush gave between September 2002 and March 2003 had the phrase "Weapons of Mass Destruction" repeated several times. It became a mantra of sorts. Obviously they were trying the Goebbels technique, or perhaps in lieu of Soma, some basic versions of Advertising propaganda. Of course, we have heard not one utterance of "Weapons of Mass Destruction" from the commander-in-chief's lips since his vaunted appearance on an aircraft carrier dressed in a flight suit, raising his fist and declaring the war a success and over.

Weapons of Mass Stupidity? -- there ya go. I vote for that one. We'll see just how stupid the American public is in the next election.
