You know Robert it gets to be a bit perplexing when anyone in the press or on this board for that matter points out some of Apple's deficiencies and is immediately discounted. Until this week (and thanks to Bill Gates) Apple provided investors with about the most abysmal ROI of any established high tech company. They spent a bucket of money on a computer company with almost no presence in the market place, taking an astronomical charge in the process, they reported an earnings report enough to give the most stout hearted a cardiac, they fired their CEO and whoever was associated with him closely, they watched their base revenue support systematically erode, they layed off hundreds and no one is supposed to utter a word of negativity about them at all? That is absolutely insane. Had the main point of the article been about a rumor of apparent trouble with Rhapsody the author most likely would have highlighted it more than he did. In effect the article is based on the idea that even with this alliance Apple still has some obstacles to overcome. I ask you, if you were at a shareholders (or any other) meeting of any company and one of their most highly touted future products was barely mentioned wouldn't you be asking yourself what the hell is wrong? Could it be possible that you have said more about Rhapsody than Mr. Jobs did at his meeting? And if that's the case you wouldn't expect a few eyebrows to rise? Not everyone may be as computer savvy as you Robert and in so keeping their needs as investors and analysts should be at least be catered to at a minimum. You say that they should have spoken to someone about the future of the product but it sounds to me that's exactly what they attempted to do from Mr. Jobs! And if Rhapsody is on time etc. then why in the hell not say that? God, is that asking too much from the supposed future savior of Apple? I hate to point this out but Steve Jobs has not been involved at a high level with a money making venture in quite some time. Sure, he's most times ahead of his time technology wise but since when has that ruled the day on Wall Street? As I have said before the road is littered with the dead bodies of technology leaders that were run over by super marketeers. Robert, even if I were a short seller (which I have never been nor ever will be) why would that make any difference in the scheme of things? Not everyone who sees Apple as having several negatives is a short seller. There are many of us who look at the issue from an objective view point and in so keeping we can't ignore what has occurred the last two years.
