I recall reading an article about Jindal when Bush selected him as the Assistant Secretary. I remember thinking that I would probably be hearing more about him in the future but I didn't think it would be so soon. He had fallen off of my radar screen until I stumbled across that article. I will now be paying close attention to the primary and the subsequent election.

Nice to hear that his Republican ribs are "rock-ribbed." He is a welcome breath of fresh air for the party. The name escapes me, but I seem to recall that a recent president had previously been elected governor of a small southern state at a very early age. <gg>

BTW, thanks for adding the personal comments about him. It adds some humanity to the profile.
