I have no clue why Republicans have been going ga ga over Arnold (who comes accross as unbelievable and too vague) Its because the far right social conservatives have a lock on this state in the primaries and the mainstream thinks somebody like Arnold with his celebrity can slice through the divisiveness on the conservative side of the ticket. Its not that Arnold's policies per se are that great. The average California voter is fiscally to the right of Bustamante/Davis and socially way to the left of McClintock, thats my read on it anyway.
