I would produce the pictures of minsk or leningrad or london in ruins and dated 1941 but I know that would not believe your eyes. None of those cities are in Europe. Of course those cities had suffered heavy damage as Germany was having it all their way until they failed to take Moscow. Then we entered the war. It was all downhill from there for them. Bad three days for Germany. Dec 5, 1941 - German attack on Moscow is abandoned. Dec 6, 1941 - Soviet Army launches a major counter-offensive around Moscow. Dec 7, 1941 - Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor; Hitler issues the Night and Fog decree. FDR was doing lend-lease even before it was legal and you are right that we were working hard to feed the allies against the axis powers back then. But we were not part of the allies yet.
