Right now, Karen, you are about the last of the believers. When Bush cares to carefully parse his words, he talks about capacity to produce not the presence of weapons and he talks about Saddam's uses of wmds in the 80s. They strike me as scrambling, so far unsuccessfully, but very assiduously, for a way out. Blair, too.

I gather you saw that Blair's troubles just seem to increase. Last polls give him a favorable of only 30%. It would be great irony and almost tragic if Bush's mindless arrogance brings down Blair, simply because Blair trusted Bush. But somewhere in those British poll numbers are certainly concerns about Blair's future.
