While one must always be careful with statements from the Secretary of Misinformation, provenanceunknown.com sadly, I think he really believes most of what's in this article. Given the ideologue that he is, he may or may not believe that Afghanistan is a success - despite any evidence to the contrary. His (and other's) comparisons with Germany (and Japan) are inappropriate, when one examines the details of the post war period in both of these cases. More importantly, to even consider making the comparison revels an appallingly low level of cultural understanding.
