I think that history will show that Bush did not lie. He NEVER said there was an imminent threat. In fact, went the opposite way. If you have proof that if different, please provide the links. And not from truthout and/or common dreams or similar.
What has he 'not done' for the environment? The entire congress bypassed Kyoto during Clintons years.
Our deficit started in March 2000.....the same time the stock market started falling. WAY before the election. But then, you know that, and don't want to admit it.
And exactly what "adequate investigations" for events prior to 9-11 would you like him to have offered.........Oops...I forgot.... You too forgot about the previous lapses of interest during the previous administration...i.e. WTC I, Kubar Towers, USS Cole, etc....
Plus not funding the CIA, nor even listening to his own choice of CIA Director, James Woolsey...Cripes, Woolsey couldn't even get an apppointment with Clinton for 6 months!!! (well document, in major media)

IMHO, Bush has been the worst president our nation has ever had....He lied to take our country into an elective war in Iraq - there clearly was no imminent threat...He has NOT protected our environment...He has failed to allow adequate investigations to explore the events leading up to 9/11...Our deficit is at record levels -- we desparately need some real presidential leadership. |
