If the leak came from the White House, I would bet it came from Cheney's office. Aren't they the ones who sent Wilson over there? And didn't Wilson report his findings (non-findings, really) to them?

As I recall, the story at the time was Wilson went there, schmoozed with some old friends, didn't do much real digging, and came back empty-handed. But he had barely scratched the surface. Why he was chosen to investigate is another baffler.
