Once again-- I do not supports Bush's unilateralism. However, I do agree with Annan's statement that the UN must act in the face of genocide (his term), and his diplomatic assertion that it failed. It is obvious that the failure in Rwanda is due to the US, the failure to act in the Balkans was french and, especially German indifference, and the failure in Iraq is due to the US making the wrong case and french special interests. However, it is his thrust that crimes against humanity and terrorism are legitimate, if not obligatory, issues for an international force to deal with if it is to have any moral currency. That has been, and is, the issue that I have been proposing on this thread.

What issue(s) did specifically disagree with Friedman ?
