I think star sight's effect is negligible for gmstf. The main source of
gmstf is still vcr + licensing, selling pluscodes etc. The "tv guide"
market is not mature yet and will probably take another year to make
a significant impact on the earnings.
I think starsight's patent portfolio will make a big contribution to
gemstar's competitiveness and bottom line(through General instruments,
Microsoft and Scientific Atlanta) when the TV guide technology is a
little riper.

Lastly, its great to see some traffic on this thread! :)
