The report stated that only 4 to 8 percent ever make the report. Please bear in mind that this is one of the bugaboos of this kind of reporting--interest groups always say that their numbers are small because people don't report. Do you really believe that more than ten percent of the population is gay? How many people who answer surveys really don't believe in God? Who knows? How much, if at all, should we adjust the census results? How can you estimate those who don't report if they don't report? The source you cited was obviously an advocate. I suggest you take that figure with a grain of salt.
