Chuck Hagel GOP senator today said the war is not necessarily in our best interest or anyone's, yet. The jury is still out and the situation is very troubling. The cost is enormous and the end-game is nowhere in sight. Hagel also stated that the Administration's conduct and their planning have been questionable. That coming from a top conservative Republican who is also one of the few GOP leaders who wsa a combat hero.

If you believe the war is in our best interest then you're just guessing, hoping. So far, no evidence. No imminent threat, no WMD's, no oil revenues, no UN allies, few allies at all, little security for our troops, open borders, increasing attacks, an unknown foe over there, the potential for more terrorism not less, and lies and spin by the WH to justify it all. I truly hope it succeeds, but it's not going to any time soon, maybe not for years, if ever. In fact, it may turn out to be the greatest mistake we've made since Vietnam. Already smells that way. Nothing against our troops BTW, they're doing great. But what a near-impossible task they have before them.
