Why do retail stores run sales when business is slow?

Are they just stupid?

Should K-Mart have RAISED their prices to compete
with Wal-Mart?

Should United Airlines have RAISED their prices
to compete with Southwest?

Should Gateway have RAISED their prices to
compete with Dell?

"Supply side" economics happens every day in the
real world (as opposed to the fantasy world of
the government).

Some of the most profitable businesses in the
country also have the lowest prices.
