Fundraising is tough with ten candidates in the race.
Dean's big fundraising jump was from his phenomenal August hoopla but is sure to die down now. During that period the other candidates got almost no media play. Once there is a nominee or the field is down to 2-3 candidates, the amounts will grow, but Buish will have a huge fundraising advantage. That is why victory in 2004 will be about people power versus the imperial juggernaut carpet-bombing negative ads. That is why we need two war heros to run against Bush and not Dean.
