I was surprised by COndi on Russert last Sunday. He played the regular clips showing her responsibility for the Niger Uranium story in the State of the Union Message and what she said at each juncture. Every time the facts showed her failures she parrotted " The CiA/Tenant signed off on the Speech. If they would have told us to take it ou we would have taken it out." WHen reminded that Tenant had removed it from 2 prior speeches and that there had been sent memos from Cia Condi jabbered away saying "maybe it was forgotten--we would have removed it if told--I don't remember any memo."

Her representation of the issues portrayed more incompetence then mendacity. Not a pretty choice. But above all, she trashed the CIA and Tenant every time. I thought that if I were Tenant I would be livid. Well, I guess he was. Come Monday morning the press has found its own story (poorly covered) and is taking pains to make sure the public understands the tricky intricacies. Somebody at CIA drew the coloring book version for them.

Can't wait to see who Rove's hand maidens are beyond Andrea Mitchell and Bob Novak.

This looks like it is shaping up to have legs. Very juicy.

The wheels are coming off the White House. I think CIA has had it and rightly so. Bye Bye Bush. Wait until you see the other stinky stuff to follow. (Is Condi married or have a boyfriend?)
