Al, I don't know...why don't you tell us how a partisan remark compares to 2 years of threats, war, unilateralism, damage to alliances and international organizations, and general rampage.

Bush is pursuing his ideology of preemption and "no peace without victory." The Democrats have not presented any ideology of their own, other than wishful thinking. They fill that void by focusing on the negatives of Bush's policies. Their only aim is to regain the presidency.

Based on this, I think David Brooks' editorial is spot-on.
