KG4, things always look darkest before the dawn just remember that, and there is no reason for you to be fully invested if you are unsure of the future... there is plenty of time, just stay out for awhile.

My personal view fwiw is that most of the doom and gloom out there comes from the job climate which is terrible, worse than any other time in my life. The lack of US post recession hiring is causing the recovery to lag like a bird trying to fly in molasses. And it seems to some like a spiral we can't get out of, I was wondering that myself until I started working with offshore developers and trying to implement an AT Kearney offshoring plan here in SV. Once you actually try to offshore labor you discover it costs a lot more than you thought and the resulting effect on time to market is outrageous. My company is just starting to get this. I think we have a classic overshoot going on here. We can benefit from offshore trends, after all the labor market in the 90s was hurting many growth companies.
