Snowshoe, the USA also used to spend quite a bit of time hectoring China about human rights. We don't hear any of that these days, what with Guantanamo Bay and other USA prison camps loaded up with political prisoners with no legal rights, no habeas corpus, no trial, no visitors.

Since the War On Terror is said by King George II and co to be likely to last for decades, the prisoners can expect to be caged for that long. Which is an interesting approach to human rights. We have one such person in prison here, who was an illegal immigrant, traveling on false documentation [along with many others in recent years] but this one is alleged to have terrorist connections.
