Vialta Launches VistaFrame, an Innovative Digital Picture Frame Compatible with Multiple Memory Card Formats

Monday September 29, 8:00 am ET

"VistaFrame makes it easy to display digital pictures and create personalized slideshows"

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2003-- Vialta, Inc. (OTCBB:VLTA - News), a developer of unique and innovative home entertainment and communications products, today unveiled VistaFrame(TM), a simple and easy way to display digital pictures directly from a memory card. VistaFrame's slideshow feature allows consumers to easily showcase digital pictures on a personalized display.

VistaFrame is compatible with five popular memory card formats, so users can display photos without the need for a computer. In addition, users can display photos stored in VistaFrame's internal memory. A diverse menu of features enables consumers to create slideshows with custom settings.

"With VistaFrame, we have made it very easy to enjoy your digital pictures by simply inserting the memory card from your digital camera into the digital picture frame," said Didier Pietri, president and chief executive officer of Vialta. "VistaFrame follows the introduction of Beamer TV, making it the second product launched by Vialta this month, further diversifying our product offering to consumers." Pietri continued, "These two product introductions clearly demonstrate Vialta's creativity and ability to consistently develop unique products."

VistaFrame Compatibility, Set-up and Use

VistaFrame is compatible with CompactFlash®, Memory Stick®, SD(TM), SmartMedia®, and MultiMediaCard(TM), encompassing most standard memory card formats. Set-up is as easy as plugging in the power connection. There is no need for a camera or computer connection, special wiring or web-based services. Simply insert a memory card into the appropriate slot, and VistaFrame's intuitive controls help you display your digital pictures individually or customize them in a slideshow format. VistaFrame automatically goes into power-saving mode if it has not been used for 60 minutes, and wakes up either when the built-in motion sensor detects movement, a memory card is inserted, or a button is pressed.

VistaFrame's Stylish Design

VistaFrame's sleek design gives it a sophisticated look, perfect within the home or office. The frame's modern finish complements the clear, bright 6.8" TFT LCD flat display screen.

Pricing and Availability

The MSRP for VistaFrame is $299.99. VistaFrame is available at Sharper Image, the Frontgate Catalog, and online at www.vialta.com.
