You know, JLA used to keep a pet liberal around RWET. Just to liven things up. I think that is the function of rrufff and Brumar. I can't comment, since I don't know this "pet" and I don't follow Moderate Forum enough to know the status of rrufff and Brumar. What I have seen so far is that they argue their views but they don't go off calling people names, and people are happy to respond to them. Mephisto and Poet I remember Poet now. She wrote fan letters to me at one point, which ended rather abruptly when I disagreed with her on one point once. I have never been to her thread. I do find it bizarre that it says (more or less) that it is not a forum for dissenting opinions but a stone to hide under for a group of people. I haven't been to Mephisto's thread either. I might take a look at that later on. Do you really want me to "plead your case" with these people? I COULD do that. "style", I would say it is much more likely that he has been banned because of repetitive insults and fits of laughter that may be understandable in a retarded child but are rather scary in an adult. Which makes him him a hypocrite Assuming he bans people for not being left-wing. That assumption is demonstrably wrong, however, since our right-wing friends rrufff and Brumar are regulars of that thread. So you are wrong, and he is not a hypocrite on this issue.
