RNC CHAIRMAN ED GILLESPIE: I think if the allegation is true, to reveal the identity of an undercover CIA operative -- it's abhorrent, and it should be a crime, and it is a crime. CHRIS MATTHEWS: It'd be worse than Watergate, wouldn't it? GILLESPIE: It's -- Yeah, I suppose in terms of the real world implications of it. It's not just politics. _______________________________________________________ Now this straight from Novak's column today.... "He(CIA spokesperson) ASKED me not to use her name, saying she probably never "AGAIN" will be given a foreign assignment but that exposure of HER NAME "MIGHT" cause DIFFICULTIES if she travels abroad." Now get this as to what Novak says..."HE(meaning CIA spokesperson) never suggested to me that Wilson's wife or anybody else would be endangered." Now let me ask! Is Novak a new comer to the Washington scene...has he never read a Tom Clancy book, has he never heard of the Pollard case, has he never heard of the FBI agent recently convicted of providing US government secrets to a foreign country? Only a fool wouldn't understand that when the CIA ask you not to reveal a CIA workers identity and that by doing so would expose that worker to danger is something that even a cub reporter wouldn't do....that is unless he had a mission directly from the White House! And I just love the fact that Novak and the Limbaugh are trying to defend this issue with the claim that Wilson's wife name was mentioned in his bio....DUH!! My response is that did Wilson's bio state after his wife's name....AKA a CIA operative. Geez!!!! When will the Novak traitors understand that it isn't the women's name that is the issue...it is the fact that she was a CIA operative trying to protect OUR country. This is like saying that all the employees of the CIA have no name...DUH!!! I think it all safe to assume that every employee of the CIA and FBI has a name...but broadcasting to the world as to what they do is the issue. My question is why isn't Novak sitting in a jail cell with J. Pollard and the "FORMER FBI AGENT"?
