& that stellar start by the Eagles didn't exactly soothe things over. But I guess I'd rather see a Cubbies/Red Sox series for a change <g>

As far as MVL making their own movies - personally I think MVL will always be seen as a niche company as long as they're only licensing out characters. I think a lot of people feel that the 'superhero' movie trend will eventually fade and therefore so will MVL's stock rise - unless a buyout happens before then. Making their own movies can be a way to get more people interested in buying the stock. Sure they're going to be their own characters movies - and of course not the biggest names. But that can really add a lot of coin to MVL's coffers. Just another way to get more people into the stock

Direct to DVD isn't something to be sneezed at. My son is killing me to get the Bionicle DVD. I'm for the idea.
