<<France, Bush & Drunk Driving>>

Great find - an excellent counterpoint to Friedman's diatribe. But - I really hate it when these press guys plagiarize our thread ;-)

FYI - my best understanding of the bodycount numbers -
US troops - 300 dead, >5000 injured
Iraqi civilians - 5,000 dead, >20,000 injured

In fairness, it should be noted that the Iraqi casualties are about double those of Saddam in a good year, they are considerably better than Saddam in one of his nasty years.
...And on the downside, Bahgdad hospitals are still seeing 500 shooting fatalities per month. Clearly the body counts will end up being much higher.
