AO MOSENERGO branches check their readiness for the heating season

24.09.2003 ã.

Five AO MOSENERGO's branches are fully prepared for the winter season. This conclusion was drawn be special commissions, which are set up on an annual basis in AO MOSENERGO to check the readiness of its branches for winter operation. Before October 31, all AO MOSENERGO branches should receive readiness certificates.

The inspection of branches is held during the last stage of winter preparations. As a rule, it takes place from mid-September to the end of October. The special commissions, which consist of representatives from AO MOSENERGO's top management, Mosgosenergonadzor, Gostekhnadzor, and Tsentrenergotekhnadzor, evaluate the technical condition of the branches, the ability to efficiently operate during the winter period, and fuel stocks. They also look for deficiencies that reduce the reliability of the branch’s operations. Based on the inspection results, these commissions sign readiness (or non-readiness) protocols for a given branch.

As of today, readiness certificates have been issued to the Moscow Cable Grid, Western Electric Grid, Energosvyaz, Central Repair Mechanical Plant, and Plant for Electric Equipment Repairs. The commissions confirmed the high level of technical preparedness achieved by these companies for winter season. Seven other AO MOSENERGO branches are expected to undergo certification this week.

The readiness of power utilities for winter is checked in accordance with the Interim Procedures for Evaluating the Readiness of Electric and Heating Enterprises for Operation in Autumn and Winter, as well as a certification that was signed by the deputy prime minister earlier this year.

Annual checks are required to issue readiness certificates to AO MOSENERGO branches, which attest to their preparedness for winter operation. Last year, AO MOSENERGO received readiness certificates strictly in accordance with established deadlines.
