It's nothing more than an interim technology - a blip in time on the road to faster technologies. It's not important AT ALL beyond the next few quarters, IMO. What IS important is who wins the core of the Internet - and ASND is looking good there. Secondly, There have been plenty of articles, news bulletins, etc. that point the other way on the 56K stuff. Kflex will win this skirmish easily, IMO. The key is ports installed in ISPs, not modems sold for PCs, and ASND is winning big there - over 3 million ports installed now, (and will continue to win there). Kflex is also coming on strong on the user side. Time will tell, of course.
