I agree 100%. That's a real losing plank in the platform. It will only attract the wrong kind of support for the Party and keep the middle class away. And it's the middle class that has the power. People could possibly accept the divide in the Party on abortion. The gun issue could be very divisive. But legalizing drugs is a losing proposition.

PS In fact the Party should accept that it's politically impossible and just drop it to make themselves more acceptable to a larger majority.
