JW,
I have noticed that even the weather forecasts and computer models used for them seem to be under the sway of political spin. The raw data seems effected because of philosophical blinders worn by those that collate the data.

For example, in economics they give hedonic adjustments to data based on productivity improvements of cheaper computers or to unemployment data because of workers who are not seeking work because they have decided to become consultants. No comment on the efficacy of those adjustments. But with climatological data, where a "hedonic" adjustment might work, no adjustment has been made for the heat sink effect and consequent skewing of temperature data of large metro areas. The temperature data is often collected at airports, which are often near large metropolitan areas which generate heat in winter and store heat in the concrete buildings and paved streets in summer.

Interesting that one can chart, just like a stock, the sentiment represented by stories like "ice age coming" or "global warming" based on the temperature tendency the decade prior.

Then again, perhaps all the "bullshitt" is generating an overabundance of methane, hot air and global warming...

EDIT, GRUBOMANIA, ggg.
Best Regards,
Roebear
